For grown-ups
Petit Pal is a bright, game-first French site for English-speaking children of any age. Kids hear words spoken, match them to pictures, spell them, and collect stickers — the same loop that makes vocabulary stick.
What they practise
- Core beginner words: greetings, colours, numbers, animals, food, family, clothes and weather.
- Listening with a French voice, so they hear the sounds, not just the spelling.
- Short rounds (about 6–8 questions) so a session can be five minutes before tea.
Privacy
There are no accounts and no names stored on a server. Stars, stickers and an optional nickname live in this browser only. Clearing site data resets progress. Read the full privacy notice.
How to help
- Sit nearby the first time and tap the speaker together.
- Ask them to use the word in a silly English sentence, then say the French.
- Come back tomorrow — streaks reward a little-and-often habit.
